Standing still

There's not much to say. Last year I barely logged in, and never blogged. But for a couple of days I have been logging in to Second Life, multiple times. To celebrate that, I decided to snap one or two, and post it (also on Flickr).

Because I have been off for such a long time, I didn't have a clue where to go for pretty sights and surroundings. Luckily, Strawberry Singh mentioned this interesting location called COLD ASH (SLurl).

This site needs a redesign, reorganising and all around redo. Like asap. Gotta get onto that.

What's up, pussycat?

My RL alt is a depressed person. It's not some sort of a passing state, it just is. Sometimes it gets better, sometimes it gets worse. Last year it was gradually getting worse. And then it got to the point where I had a burnout. Not the first time, so this time I recognised the issue and started to find ways to heal. It's ups and it's downs.

During this time I was invited to join a shopping event in Second Life. I talked with the owner of the event and told her I wouldn't be able to attend the upcoming round. This was okay. The rules I got stated that one must join every third round. So, the third round after I had joined the event, I enrolled to attend. I was feeling good about this. My comeback to SL! But suddenly the owner took a problem with me and kicked me out of the event. She said I hadn't done anything, so thanks but no thanks. I tried to explain that I had understood the rules the way I had, but she didn't care. I was tearing up, feeling I had done something really bad. While it sounds like a small thing, having already been burned out, the experience set me back more. It took me a month to get over it, and start to feel like hanging in SL again.

I'm still not doing great. In RL we had bad news about our apartment and had to find a new place. Which means that our budget is now seriously broken. About fall

I don't know how the summer turned into the fall so fast, but it did. Like someone had looked the calendar, noticed it was August and flipped the switch. No, no yellow leaves yet. But rain and wind and kind of chilly weather. Plus I've caught the cold, so I had to dress myself in SL in something warmer too. The outfits I've been teasing about are still to be blogged. There's just too much skin visible to fit my current feeling.

Lolita

This outfit was supposed to be something else. Actually, you'll see what else, in a day or two, hopefully. But as I was toying with these shoes and socks, added the skirt, I thought about school girl fantasies. Which led to digging around my inventory, trying different tops and stuffs. The fur stole felt fitting. Then I tried tons of poses, only to go with this classic I've used some times before. There's nothing like using old pieces to create new looks. This Lolita, she works for the money, doesn't she?

Wrapped up

I've been eyeing on these feet wraps at fri.day for a while, so when they were on the latest FLF, I went and got them immediately. Without hesitation. I built the outfit around them, with my new favourite hair from Magika (which is similar to what I'm rocking in RL atm), this kimono dress, which is available as a hunt gift at [ bubble ] and cuffs from Insanya. Not to forget the usual, my lovely Maitreya Lara body and my MANDALA Jewelry mesh ears, in human shape this time. All wrapped up, then.
