Have you ever had a bloggers block? I have. I'm currently having one. To get over with it I went to search for inspiration. Here's a wrap up of what I found. The rude sound of silence
In time to time it happens: A potential client asks for a quote and I give it. And then nothing. After a week or two I'm very much aware the price was too high and I got silence treatment. Of course it's a missed opportunity, not just for me but for client as well. No negotiations. No new offer. Nothing gets done. It's a really rude thing to do. Saying "this is too much for me" wouldn't be rude at all. Or maybe asking for a new price, better suited for your budget. Things blogging has taught me
Blogging as well as tweeting can be used for many things. Spreading the word of something, branding, ego tripping, being a jerk towards others and so forth. At the same time it's of course also a learning experience for the blogger (or tweeter) herself. And it can be pretty interesting. So I started to think what blogging has taught me. Pin it!
Everyone talks about Pinterest. So much it took me a while to decide if I'd like to write about it myself. And I know there are people who are so incredibly annoyed by all the fuzz. Pinterest is kind of an online scrapbook. User can create boards and "pin" images found all over the web on them. Users can also follow each other, or follow certain boards by another pinner. Hot Font #3: Rock Salt
The third Hot Font is handwritten, but cool. Not your usual schoolgirl type. It's called Rock Salt. Rock Salt is handmade, fun and kinda cool. Created by Squid (aka Dave Cohen) the font is free and licensed under Apache License, version 2. Rock Salt on Font Squirrel and Google Web Fonts.
Hot Font #2: Gudea
The second Hot Font is Gudea. Gudea has originally been designed for maps and labels. Being very clear and versatile it suits for much more. Created by Agustina Mingote, the font is published under SIL Open Font License (OFL) and it's free. Gudea on Font Squirrel and Google Web Fonts.
Oh no logo
I needed a new bag. Something big and sturdy enough to fit my Macbook and other stuff I want to carry around. A bag which doesn't look like it was made for the granny who wants to pretend to be rich. Price around 50 euros. To my surprise everything matching the requirements was decorated with huge logos. Sports brand logos mostly. Adidas, Puma, Nike, Björn (We Are The) Borg and so forth. I ended up with one saying Adidas, only because it happened to fit my needs. It came with a nice color and a strap which shouldn't dig deep into my shoulder. Spacious and nifty pockets inside.
